Arthritis Friendly Crochet Hook
I designed, modeled on Solidworks, and 3D printed an ergonomic crochet hook handle coupled with interchangeable, screw-on heads to maximize comfort, customizability, and space efficiency for people with limited mobility in their hands.

Typical crochet hooks are narrow and place stress on hand joints. They are also only designed for one thickness of yarn, so if someone would like to use five different yarn weights, they would also have to carry five full sized crochet hooks.

My project solves those problems with an ergonomic design that maintains material efficiency and screw-on, interchangeable hook heads. People who struggle to crochet for long periods of time due to hand pain can comfortably hold the hook. They also do not have to worry about bringing multiple bulky hooks if they plan on using several yarn weights, since they can simply carry the hook heads.
